Event description

Description

We recognise that our workers ability to respond to change and be adaptable to their work environment is an important factor in our safety performance. We tell workers to be "switched on" for work, to "stop and think" before doing a task. Do we know what this means? Are our expectations realistic? What investment is required to achieve a "switched on" worker?

Kerene Strochnetter is a an experienced Mindfulness Consultant, Coach, and Speaker. She will explain the neuroscience of minfulness and the benefits to people in the workplace. Mindfulness is essential for focussing attention, regulating emotions and counterbalancing our human tendency for mind wandering. You need a mind functioning at its best to be productive, efficient and safety conscious at work.

Doors open for networking from 12.15pm.
