'O A’u Lea | This is Me' WELLINGTON - Pacific wellbeing and mentoring programme for young men aged 12 to 15 (Year 8 - Year 10)

About this Event

The Ministry of Education has partnered with 3 Sons Ltd to deliver the Pacific Wellbeing and Mentoring programme ‘O A’u Lea | This Is Me’.

The 3 day programme will be delivered in the September/October school holidays for Pacific young men aged 12 to 15 (Year 8 to Year 10).

The programme provides a space for up to 150 Pacific young men to talanoa about their future, their identity, language and culture, cultural tensions they experience, and the impacts of Covid-19. Young men will have the opportunity to unpack resiliency, mental health, relationships and expectations using the messages from keynote speakers. It is led by Tofiga Fepulea’i and other pacific male mentors.

Key information

• The programme is free – fully funded by Ministry of Education

• Each day starts at 8am and ends at 3pm

• Breakfast, lunch and snacks are included

• Registrations are on a first in first served basis up to a maximum of 75 participants
