About this event

Arts • Painting

I am Margaret Feeney, practicing artist and experienced art tutor. Play and invention is the best way to learn skills and new ideas. Join me on this programme – 4 Friday evenings in October - we’ll be covered in charcoal one evening, in clay the next.

We’ll learn traditional techniques like markmaking, cross-contour, planar structure, reductive drawing, linear volume, the painting sketch, and so on.

The formal instruction is interspersed with play: conceptual drawing, 3D drawing, drawing with light and with the silhouette, assemblage, stop motion, and collage.

We’ll meet up Fridays 6 – 8pm at the Wēta Room studio, Franklin Arts Centre in Pukekohe. All materials are supplied. CV available on request and please contact me with any queries :0)
