About this Event

Writer Henry Oliver presents a consideration of the things that occupied our time over lockdown and how these translate into a post-lockdown world.

Certain activities, like baking sourdough bread, have become symbolic of the time we spent at home. In this Ockham Lecture, Henry Oliver explores why we decided it was essential to focus on this ancient activity of baking at a chaotic and unpredictable time.

A taste of this text will be presented at the event and attendees will be able to register to receive a published copy of Oven Spring as the second instalment of our Ockham Lectures Pocket Edition series.

Booking is free here - and essential. Hospitality will be provided.
