Event description
The UC PGSA Writing Retreat is back! Spend two days nestled in the mountains and get your creative juices flowing.

About this event

**THE WRITING RETREAT HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED TO BE FROM THE 15TH TO THE 17TH OCTOBER**

The UC PGSA Writing Retreat is a weekend away from the hustle and bustle, and a chance to focus and relax at the beautiful Cass Field Station near Arthurs Pass. This is open to all UC postgraduate students to work on whatever you need to make some progress on - whether that be big end of year assignments, dissertations, or theses. Even more so, you get to meet some other awesome postgrads in our community and learn from each other and have some fun!

This event will run from 5 pm Friday 15 October (with arrival on either Friday evening or Saturday morning) to 5 pm Sunday 17 October, with all meals, snacks and non-alcoholic beverages provided! Tickets are only $25 for general admission or $15 if you are able to help as a driver.

We also need to note that the event will only go ahead under level 1 - fingers crossed!

Further details will be provided closer to the date 🙂

Organiser UC PGSA

Organiser of October Writing Retreat

The Postgraduate Students' Association is the only UCSA affiliated club run by Postgrads for Postgrads to assist and improve the postgraduate experience at UC. UC PGSA provides a voice and social support for all UC students 400 level and above.

UC PGSA organises social events to encourage professional and social interaction with a wide variety of interdisciplinary postgraduate members, supervisors, faculty and future employers. It also provides opportunities for peer guidance, support, advocacy, communication and networking.

UC PGSA supports the Postgraduate Office's academic and professional development seminars and lectures. Social events run by UC PGSA include meet ups, quiz nights, trips away and an annual postgraduate ball.

Our executive committee comprises a range of domestic and international postgraduates and we have liaisons and advocates for postgraduates across the University, all of whom work hard to raise and maintain the unique status of postgraduates at UC.

We are all about improving postgrad networking & community, postgrad skills and postgrad good times!
