You are invited to join us on Wednesday 3 March 2021 for a webinar to hear from Geoff Bascand, Deputy Governor and General Manager of Financial Stability at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

With the Reserve Bank’s first Monetary Policy Statement for 2021 due just before this webinar, delegates will hear the current economic outlook from the Deputy Governor, along with an update on cyber security and other key areas of of the Bank’s focus.

Geoff will be joined by Richard Dean (Manager, Insurance Oversight), Andy Wood (Head of Supervision) and Brendan Manning (Senior Adviser External Stakeholders) for a Q&A session.

The webinar will be held using zoom, and access link and passcode details will be sent ahead of the event. Questions and answers will be via zoom.

ABOUT GEOFF BASCAND

Geoff Bascand is the Deputy Governor and General Manager of Financial Stability at the Reserve Bank of New Zealand.

He leads the Financial Stability departments in the Bank, responsible for forming and implementing policies to promote a sound and efficient financial system. Geoff’s role includes overseeing the major functions of policy and analysis, supervision and data and statistics.

Before joining the Bank, Geoff was the Government Statistician and Chief Executive of Statistics New Zealand.
