Join us for the exclusive screening of Outside the Valley which follows American founders, Ryan and Hunter, as they move across continents in an exploration of startup ecosystems beyond Silicon Valley. With visits to Portugal, Uruguay, New Zealand, and Mexico, the duo meets with founders who are trying to build great companies in a global environment. They uncover inspirational stories of sacrifice, struggle, and success as they navigate the process of their own fledgling company.

About the film:
Outside the Valley is an inspirational look at startup communities around the world. Unfolding across five countries, Ryan and Hunter form a media company near Seattle. Their content creation becomes experiential learning as they meet founders, industry experts, and tech executives, including Mark Cuban who offers them advice. The duo meet Andy and Maca, beauty company founders helping define Mexico's eCommerce economy. Bruno and Pablo aim to improve healthcare through 3D printing/imaging from Uruguay. In Portugal they meet Gonçalo, a founder rooted in the startup surge stemming from the 2008 Great Recession. Finally, the New Zealand founders they meet have global ambition from the start. As if the expected hardships weren’t enough to contend with, founders must pivot when a global pandemic strikes, testing everyone's resolve.
