Welcome to Pacific Health Promotion Models (Level 2)

This is a second step on the stream of Pacific health promotion to further your learning journey with the Health Promotion Forum (HPF).

This course aims to enhance your knowledge of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa New Zealand and discuss a range of Pacific health promotion models. We will teach you how to apply a Pacific health promotion model, Fonua Ola, to address the health and wellbeing of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Course Overview:

• Modules: Four engaging modules to help you understand the history of Pacific peoples in Aotearoa New Zealand, the evolution of Pacific health promotion, understand some health promotion models and how to apply one specific health promotion model, Fonua Ola, in your practice.
• Assessment: Complete short quizzes to earn your badge of completion.
• Timeframe: Finish in approximately 2-4 hours, with six months to complete from enrolment.
