The Clinical Skills series aims to provide education that will refresh or upskill all health care providers supporting persons with palliative care need. The education sessions provide learning which maintains and enhances participants palliative care knowledge, skills, and practice.
Motor neurone disease (MND) is a progressive and terminal diseasethat results in degeneration of the motor neurones, or nerves, in thebrain and spinal cord.MND can also includes non-motor symptoms,one of the most common being cognitive change. Research hasshown that changes can occur in the frontal and temporal areas ofthe brain, which affect thinking, reasoning and behaviour.
This session aims to support your work in helping people with MND, and their families and carers, adjust to changes in thinking and behaviour, should they happen.
