Pecha Kucha Vol. 54, Part 2 Urban Design, Housing and Infrastructure
Event Information
Description
This event sold out, but we have had some cancellations so there are a couple more tickets available!
Auckland’s population is growing at an exponential rate, house prices are at an all time high, and congestion is an ongoing concern. How is Auckland going to make sure there is enough homes for people, while keeping the roads flowing and protecting the valuable green spaces in our city? The site is changing at Unitec, it’s an exciting time as Auckland responds to a developing future. Protecting heritage, mixed density housing, responding to differing cultural needs, cars vs bikes, catering to the needs of our youth and elders, rent or own?
You are warmly invited to this free event to hear some of the brightest minds in the city talk about their thoughts on what a future Auckland could or should look like, and how this might be applied in practice.
This will also be the first time the public are invited to see the newly built student hub for Unitec, Te Puna. We want to celebrate the space with you as an example of how built environment impacts on living experience. Seating will be limited, so get in quick.
Light refreshments will be available on arrival.
