Porirua Business After 5 with Whittaker's
About this event
Whittaker’s Chocolate is iconic, so much so that the Porirua-based manufacturer has recently been named New Zealand’s most iconic brand for the 11th consecutive year in a survey commissioned by Reader’s Digest.
Reaching that level of consumer trust takes a lot of work and James Ardern, Whittaker’s CEO, will host our next BA5 and tell us about the company’s belief that ‘best is always better’. James will outline how Whittaker’s dealt with Covid and the consequences of manufacturing during a pandemic, as well as showcasing the sustainability work the company has been developing, particularly their cocoa sourcing where they are recognised with a “Green Egg” award the last two years placing Whittaker’s in the top 4 of all global chocolate makers.
We are also delighted to be joined by Hon. Stuart Nash, Minister for Economic and Regional Development, Tourism, Forestry, and Small Business.
This BA5 event is a part of the wider Porirua City Council Porirua Business Month, and tickets are free for both members and non-members.
