Join us for Positioning for the Future: Embracing Bold Business on Tuesday 23 September, where we’ll share the latest national and regional economic insights, including results from the recent Taranaki business survey.
Delivered by Te Puna Umanga Venture Taranaki, the regional development agency, this is an opportunity to hear first-hand how our region is tracking, explore the trends shaping our economy, and consider how businesses can adapt and grow.
This event will also highlight the role of forward-thinking leadership in Taranaki. Through a panel discussion with business leaders from a range of industries, we’ll explore how embracing an early-mover mindset - adopting new technologies, leading innovation, and entering new markets - can help drive economic transformation and long-term regional success.
Plus, hear from guest speaker Rod Snodgrass, who brings over 30 years’ experience in strategy, innovation, digital growth, and transformation across New Zealand’s communications, media, and energy sectors, including senior executive roles at Spark and Vector. He is Co-Founder of Maker Partners, spanning venture capital, technology solutions, and corporate venturing, and Founder of The Exponential Agency. Rod is also an active angel investor involved in nearly 100 start-ups, and is a mentor to entrepreneurs and creative tech ventures.
This event will include:
- A regional economic update with the latest data and analysis.
- Key findings from the 2025 Taranaki Business Survey – uncovering how businesses are currently feeling in the region and their economic outlook.
- A keynote from Rod Snodgrass on innovation and leadership.
- A panel discussion with local business leaders exploring what it means to adopt an early-mover mindset and take calculated risks.
