You can become a better public speaker by mastering the basics that you use everyday. Join us for this live workshop on the foundations of public speaking. You will use them in your self introductions, your one minute promos or even Q&A sessions. By the end of the day you will have scripts, experience and skills to communicate more effectively everyday.
This is a women’s only event that addresses their issues and challenges and helps their voice be heard. It encourages collaboration and support and allows for networking.
Reducing Speaking Fears
Stop the butterflies, reduce the fear, have the tools and skills to speak confidently and clearly. Understand how to control any fear you may have.
Public Speaking Foundations
Learn the power of both body language and vocal variety, so you can engage and connect with your audience. You will identify any distracting mannerisms, monotone or speaking crutches. We will work together to help eliminate these and improve your speaking.
Everyday Public Speaking
You will get a chance to write and deliver polished elevator pitches and self introductions, then move onto improving your one minute promos used in networking groups. You will learn practical techniques for improving your answers to questions, so you never again think "Oh goodness what do I say?"
You will learn a quick way to plan a longer speech or presentation (Like a Six minute spotlight) and understand how to plan a Facebook Live.
Along with new speech scripts, you will get a workbook, Speech Marks Quick Tip cards, connections with other women, and a discount on our stage two workshop "Crafting Your Message" the course for anyone doing workshops, guest speaker slots or keynotes.
The price includes morning tea (lunch excluded) and parking is on the safe streets nearby.
