Rangers who have achieved their Peak Award and who are aged 16 years at the time of the retreat are invited to apply for the upcoming Queen’s Guide Retreat.
Participants take part in a variety of challenging and fun learning activities to extend their skills and knowledge in relation to team building, community action, self-evaluation, Queen’s Guide Award recognition and joining networks.
The retreat starts Friday 8pm and ends Sunday 3pm.
Full time attendance is a requirement.
There is no charge for the Queen's Guide Retreat. However, you will need to pay for the cost of travel to and from the retreat, including any shuttles booked by GirlGuiding NZ, for which you will be invoiced.
The close off time/date for applications is 11pm, 18 May 2018.
Please note: There are a maximum number of places for each Queen's Guide Retreat. The Ranger Portfolio Holder, in consultation with the trainers, will approve who is selected to attend. Priority is usually given to the older Rangers and/or Rangers who live closer to the location. We will advise those not selected and place their name on a waiting list.
