You can bring something you wish to upcycle - but we will have materials at the studio available too.

Do I need to know how to sew?

Being comfortable using a machine is preferable.

About this event

This is a quilting session for beginners. We will learn about quilting materials, hand and machine techniques, quilting history and create a quilted panel for a totebag using upcycled and new materials. Class limited to 4 places.

This event is facilitated by Melissa Goodfellow AKA Meltron. After leaving Auckland in 2013 she took pause in London and completed a Masters Degree in Fashion and Embodiment at the design department of Goldsmiths University. A creative thinker, sewist, quilter, dyer, DJ and event designer she hosts meet ups and workshops on a weekly basis at OORT Studio.
