Event description

Description

The University of Neuchâtel’s Anthropology Institute invites you to a public symposium on agri-environmental governance (AEG).

The study of AEG seeks to understand the transformations that are taking place in our food system, especially in agricultural production. Agriculture is now facing an increasingly global environmental challenge. This symposium proposes the consideration of new approaches, which would involve the inclusion of different instruments and ways of balancing food production and environmental protection. Discussions around novel theories, methods and empirical case studies will allow us to gain a better understanding of the entangled nature of our agri-food systems.

The event runs throughout the day and consists of six presentations as well as two discussions prepared by visiting professors. Given the international profile of the panel, this conference will provide an opportunity to understand agri-environmental issues in various national contexts.
