About this event
Home to 680 million people and with a GDP of US $3 trillion, Southeast Asia is an economic market with enormous value – and potential - for New Zealand business and investment. It is already New Zealand’s fourth largest goods export market, and in 2020 New Zealand exported $1.6 billion of services to the region.
Join the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade & the Southeast Asia Centre of Asia-Pacific Excellence for a discussion on the opportunities this growing market offers to New Zealand businesses. The event will open with an address and Q&A with Minister of State for Trade and Export Growth Phil Twyford, followed by a panel discussion with three regional business experts. The formalities will be followed by drinks and nibbles.
You can join us in person at The Boatshed on Wellington’s waterfront, or via Zoom. If you wish to join via Zoom, please ensure you still grab a ticket and we will be in touch with the details.
