Event description
Reducing Our Household Rubbish: The Zero Waste Approach

About this Event

Hannah Blumhardt and Liam Prince, the two no-waste nomads behind 'The Rubbish Trip' are coming to Methven! For two years they have been traveling New Zealand delivering zero waste talks and workshops and were recently featured in the TVNZ programme 'Sunday' about Zero Waste.

Their presentation 'Reducing Our Household Rubbish: The Zero Waste Approach' focuses on how individuals can cut down their rubbish at home, based on Hannah and Liam's own experience of living, for over four years, without a bin. Be prepared for a whirlwind overview of the waste situation in New Zealand, the zero waste philosophy and approach, and heaps of practical tips on how you can cut down the rubbish you send to landfill.

Hannah and Liam have a can-do attitude to reducing rubbish and want to show people how easy, fun and fulfilling waste reduction can be!

FREE waste-free snacks will be provided as part of this FREE event.

Please register so we know how many to expect.

Come along and be inspired!

Find 'Zero Waste Your Pantry' and 'Bare Essentials' Workshops on eventbrite - free, practical workshops run by The Rubbish Trip, held at Staveley Camp Oct 12 & 13 and in Rakaia later in October (date tbc).
