Reflecting on COVID-19 # 3 - Digital Public Service
Event Information
About this event
The COVID-19 pandemic has been one of the most significant events to affect New Zealand in recent history. All of us have been affected in some way.
This forum looks at how COVID-19 has impacted the way the public service works in Canada and NZ. We have two fabulous speakers.
Julie Watson is Kaiarahi Hua Mahi (Practice Lead), in the Agency Partnership Team of the Digital Public Service Branch. During the first lockdown she hosted weekly sessions for CIOs to share what they were learning and how they could help each other. She will present DPS research into how the New Zealand public service responded to lockdown during COVID 19.
Pia Andrews is currently the Digital Lead and Special Advisor for the Benefits Delivery Modernization program at Service Canada. In her role she works within the (public sector) machine to transform public services through greater transparency, democratic engagement, citizen-centric design, open data, emerging technologies and real, pragmatic actual innovation. She’s going to talk about the Canadian public service experience through COVID-19.
This forum will be held online only.
