About this event

How relationality can improve our research impact

We want our research to have an impact, but seldom get to control whether that happens. Peter’s talk will address the relational aspects of research with various next users, end-users, and decision-makers, such as policymakers, the community, and the media. Drawing on his experience in public health research, he will explore how to identify what data are useful, the role of collaboration and trust, and framing and research translation. He’ll also raise the vexed question of social license for researchers working on stigmatised subjects and minority populations.

Date: Wednesday, 27 August

Time: 12.00pm – 1.00pm NZST

Zoom Link: Will be sent to registered attendees via calendar invitation
