Resilience: Be Comfortable, Being Uncomfortable

Join us for our next Educate to Elevate event hosted by Athlete Development at AUT Millennium. This session will explore the key mental skills that help youth athletes thrive, including mindset, leadership, resilience, and the ability to step outside your comfort zone.

We are excited to welcome William Pike as our guest motivational speaker. William inspires and shocks audiences with his remarkable stories, including surviving a freak Mount Ruapehu volcanic eruption. An eruption which claimed one of his legs but left his drive to succeed and passion for adventure unscathed. You can read more about William's story here: http://www.williampike.co.nz/

Through stories from his own life and work with young people, William will highlight the importance of facing challenges, embracing setbacks as opportunities, and practising mental skills that support growth in sport and life. He will challenge athletes, parents, and coaches to see setbacks as stepping stones, embrace uncertainty and develop the mindset and mental toughness needed to achieve extraordinary things.

This session is designed for youth athletes, parents and coaches, offering inspiration and practical ideas to help young people develop confidence, perseverance, and mental strength. It’s a must-attend for anyone looking to support sporting and life success!
