Rethinking our urban spaces post COVID
Event Information
About this Event
Join The Sustainability Society for a panel discussion around urban built form and how we have an opportunity to create a more equitable public realm.
- We’re in a time of immense change, in a time of immense change! How do we align our long term objectives with our short term recovery efforts?
- Thinking about urban realm opportunities in our cities and large centres, and the need to help NZ businesses get back on their feet, what makes a business stand out to you? And what would you like to see businesses doing more of, that might mean you would support them?
As we hear from international experts on public space and mobility, we explore what NZ has to learn and how our built environment could look if we look to bring our unique culture to the forefront of future urban space.
Our panel includes:
- Cam Perkins - Director of Urban Pirates
- Jade Kake – Architect/Director at Matakohe Architects
- Isabella Cawthorn - Consultant for more liveable towns
- Steven Burgess - Urban strategist, Complete Streets, Australia
