Event description

Description

Roaring on Aotearoa builds on the Roar behind the Silence book (edited by Sheena Byrom & Soo Downe) which raises awareness about why kindness, compassion and respect matter in maternity care. The workshop seeks to explore the causes of distress in maternity care and how we can work together to find solutions that will benefit women and their families, and those who care for them.

Speakers include Sheena Byrom, Soo Downe, Alison Barrett, Aidan O'Donnell, Allyson Davys and others.

Come and be part of this international movement bringing together midwives, doctors and women with the shared goal of breaking down the silence of whats happening in maternity care.Together we will share information, inspiration and practical information about what we can do to support and care for ourselves and each other. Together we can provide the kind and compassionate care we want to provide and that birthing communities deserve to receive.

We have a limited number of student tickets at a lower price. Please bring your student ID to the event.

Registrations close 26 October 2018.
