Event description

Description

Coding and robot making!

It is a project-based workshop that is aimed at developing an understanding of robotics and computational thinking skills.

We will investigate with Arduino-based robots, Scratch-based software coding, robotic concepts, and basic circuitry.

We use the software mBlock based on scratch to code and we will learn to use sensors, to play with mechatronics to make the robot moves and how to tackle challenges.

Two sessions are available: morning 9-12.30 or afternoon 1.30 - 5 pm

Please note that knowledge of scratch is recommended.

Don't forget morning tea and a drink bottle!

This workshop is part of the Smartbots robotic project throughout Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough supported by Curious Minds He Hihiri I Te Mahara, and is in-kind partnership with the Takaka library.

It integrates Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.
