Event description

Description

Rotaract Clubs are for young adults, students and young professionals aged 18-30 to meet like-minded individuals and work together to help their community. Rotaract Wellington is involved in a multitude of activities helping the Wellington community through local community service projects and international projects that serve to bring about awareness of global issues. The Rotaract Club of Wellington is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Wellington, Rotary Club of Port Nicholson and Rotary Club of Cuba St (Courtenay Place).

Our club is divided into multiple committees which allows our members to be involved with what interests them and allows us to have many projects in the works at once. Whether you want to help our local community, have an interest in international service, have a passion for the environment, need opportunities for professional development, or even just want more opportunities to meet new people your age, we have a committee suited to your needs! Think all of these areas sound great? These committees are not fixed and you are welcome to change or even be involved with multiple projects between them!

From bucket collecting for the NZ Women's Refuge and Heart Kids NZ, to running movie nights for the Wellington Children’s Hospital and World Polio Day, to tree planting for the Forest in the Heart of Wellington Project, to professional development mentoring, to working with International Rotaract clubs to build relationships for travel, career and international projects, to board games and drinks at Counter Culture. Here at Rotaract we always have more exciting things on the horizon to get involved with!

If you find yourself free on a Monday night, our club meets fortnightly at 6:30pm at the VUW Pipitea Campus, come along to check us out! During our club meetings, we discuss opportunities for service and community work, personal growth, leadership and career development, social activities and projects we are looking to head up. We always love to meet new people and hear new ideas for projects and events!
