About this Event

Originally from New Zealand, now based in London, Rietta has appeared in a world wide documentary from UK Channel 5‘s Freddy mercury Biopic “Who Wants To Live Forever” and toured with “Strictly Come Dancing” Live Arena Tours. She was a featured performer in Craig Revel Horwood’s acclaimed BBC spin off theatre show “Strictly Confidential” as well as being a regular vocalist on “Strictly Come Dancing” Cruises.

With a 5 octave range, Rietta was selected to perform for legendary band “Queen” singing a medley of Queen’s greatest hits at the 2015 Artists & Managers award ceremony for Jim Beach, the band’s manager when he received a lifetime achievement award presented by Radio 1 DJ Scott Mills.

Rietta toured Europe with original Elvis band members Bob Lanning and Duke Bardwell, Marlyn Mason (one of the leading ladies in an Elvis movie) and Dwight Icenhower the award winning US best Elvis tribute artist. Rietta has also toured Australasia with The Jordanaires & DJ Fontana and performed at Ronnie Scott’s London.

Michael Barker's unique drum and percussion style has seen him record and tour with prominent contemporary recording artists such as - The John Butler Trio, Neil and Tim Finn respectively,Split Enz, Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra, Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Tap Dogs, Cats, Jerry’s Girls, Evita,Toni Childs, Kasey Chambers, Missy Higgins, Alex Lloyd, Vika and Linda Bull, The Black Sorrows, Deborah Conway, Christine Anu, Big Pig, David Bridie and My Friend The Chocolate Cake.

A songwriter/composer and singer in his own rite Michael plays in his own band Swamp Thing plus performs solo shows as a multi-instrumentalist singer/songwriter.

Ben Wilcock is a pianist and composer from Hamilton, NZ. Ben began his career as 'on stage pianist' in the award winning show 'The Pickle King' (Indian ink) which won multiple awards including a Fringe First at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. After an extended period playing in the UK Ben returned to NZ to perform and record with Bella Kalolo, including her Without the Paper and Time and Space releases, with performances at Glastonbury, Java Jazz, Sydney Arts Festival and New York's Ella lounge and Rockwood Music Hall. During this time he also toured with Aaradnha, Louis Baker and more recently with American Blues legend Chris Cain.

His trio The Jelly Rolls have performed at Jazz festivals including the Edinburgh Jazz festival, the Wellington Jazz festival and the Tauranga Jazz festival. 2019 included a tour of Scotland, and 2020 they were head to Australia and Europe.
