Rural health roadshow in Whakatāne

We are pleased to invite you to a rural health roadshow with Hon Matt Doocey, Associate Health Minister with responsibility for Rural Health and Minister for Mental Health.

Minister Doocey would love to hear from you about local health care services and how the Government can better support communities and people working in rural health.

The Government’s vision is for all people living in rural communities to live long and healthy lives, supported by a health system that meets the diverse needs of these communities.

New Zealand’s Rural Health Strategy outlines priorities for improving access to health care, so that people in rural communities have services available closer to home and are supported to access health care when outside their community.
