All GO at Traffic Level Red - Vaccine passes required. Tickets limited each hour
COST: $20 Adults, $5 Children* (over 5 and under 18) $45 Family (2 adults and up to 4 Children)
VACCINE PASSES REQUIRED FOR OVER 16s - To be able to operate at all traffic light levels we need to sight vaccine passes, please.
WALKERS - Book your ticket for a time slot that suits you to start your walk and enjoy the hill climb at your leisure. You must arrive and start your walk within the time slot on your ticket. We want to keep the experience special, by not having too many walkers on the bush tracks at any one time.
To purchase your tickets click on the ticket listed with the time you wish to take part. - Everyone must be back at the base by 4.30pm
This iconic walk takes you through farm land, meanders up through native bush and bursts open to panoramic views over the Taieri and the sea.
Pre-purchase only. NO GATE SALES. All profits to K9 Medical Detection NZ Charitable Trust.
CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT.
There is a strict NO DOGS POLICY- either on the walk or left in the vehicle.
NOT SUITABLE FOR Push Chairs/Mountain Buggies/ Wheelchairs.
Bring some cash/EFTPOS for refreshments and BBQ before or after your walk.
BE AWARE THIS HIKE REQUIRES GOOD WALKING SHOES OR BOOTS - Please wear sturdy footwear and bring warm clothes -weather conditions can change quickly. All walkers go at their own risk, this is not a guided walk, but an opportunity to freedom walk this local icon.
ROAR (Right of admission is reserved if organisers feel that terms are not being met).
In the event of adverse weather, this event may be postponed to a later date. All tickets would be transferable to the new date.
COVID - if a Govt change of "traffic lights" prevents this event from going ahead, it will be rescheduled or refunded at the organisers discretion.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
I am in an appropriate physical condition to participate in this hike, given the known parameters of the Event (such as the length, time, physical demands and environmental context).
I have taken medical advice on any pre-existing medical conditions, and confirm that it is medically safe for me to participate in the hike.
I acknowledge that there are risks involved in the hike I fully realise the dangers of participating and fully assume the risks associated with my participation and my wellbeing and safety during and after the hike.
I understand and acknowledge that the organisers (including all event volunteers) provide no warranties, regarding my wellbeing and safety.
I understand and agree that situations may arise during the hike, which may be beyond the immediate control of the event organisers (including event volunteers).
I will participate in the hike, in a manner that does not endanger either me, others or the surrounding environment.
I agree that to the extent permissible by law, the Event organisers ( and event volunteers), and other parties associated with the hike, have no liability to me whatsoever for any direct or indirect loss, (including, but not limited to injury or death) sustained by me during or in any way related to my participation in the hike.
I authorise the use of my name and picture in any broadcast, telecast, promotion, advertising, and in any other way, without payment to me or any other form of compensation.
I agree to comply with the rules, and regulations pertaining to the hike.
I agree to follow all reasonable safety instructions provided to me by the organisers, (including event volunteers) before, during and after the hike.
I consent to receiving medical treatment in the event of illness or injuries suffered during my time on the hill.
FAQs
WHAT ARE MY PARKING/TRANSPORT OPTIONS FOR THIS EVENT?
Parking in a nearby paddock will be signposted from McMaster Road. There are no public transport options close by.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY TICKET WITH ME? Yes - paper copy or electronic copy.

IS MY REGISTRATION TRANSFERABLE?
You are welcome to pass on your ticket to someone else if you are unable to attend. As this is a charity event there will be no refunds, all monies going to K9 Medical Detection NZ Charitable Trust.
