SAMOA INDEPENDENCE CELEBRATION


Samoa was the first Pacific Island to celebrate its Independence in June 1962.

Samoan communities all over the world celebrate this as an acknowledgement to the warriors and families that fought for Samoa Independence in June 1962.

2018 we are celebrating Samoa Independence in Brisbane Sat 2nd June, with some special Samoan artists that have been making noise in the field of entertainment says promoter Brotha D.

LAPI MARINER

Also known as the Voice of the Pacific, was part of a very successful group called Jamoa Jam early 2000’s and now forging a solo career, with the release of his new single Go Back feat. FIJI (the godfather of pacific reggae).

TJ TAOTUA with MINISTRY OF TONE

TJ Taotua came to prominence as an Urban Gospel artists with the release of his solo EP Magnified in 2014, and current single release Special Place produced by Samoan legend Laga Savea.

With his band Ministry of Tone (MOT), TJ Taotua delivers a unique brand of Soul/R’n’B weekly at Auckland Sky City.

THE TROPICAL BAND

The Tropical band are a traditional Samoan band, They have been leading the Samoan market in NZ and Australia for sometime now, yet they have not performed in Brisbane. The traditional Samoan community will be eager to come out and watch after their successful tour of Melbourne late 2017.


This blend of current and traditional Samoan artists who are based in NZ, and the local talents of Bex Filoa and DJ Songz, will make for an incredible night of celebrating Samoa Independence in Sydney Fri 1st June 2018.
