This course will introduce you to some of the techniques used in sculpture making with the aim of creating interesting and experimental 3D pieces.
The process of armature construction will be used to create small to medium sized works. You will start off with a concept of what you would like to make, and use drawing as a way of visualising how you would form wire into an armature construction. Afterwards you will be taught various techniques of applying plaster, and reducing it to achieve the final sculpture.
You will be able to explore ideas/concepts within your work or simply enjoy the practical nature of learning this 3D method.
Please note there will be a material fee of $40 to pay directly to the tutor for material provided.
The 6 weeks course will run over 7 weeks from Tuesday evening the 20th of September to Tuesday the 1st of November (NO CLASS ON 11 OCTOBER)
Each class will start at 6pm and finish at 9pm.
