An open space to all, where we move away from shame & taboos, and move toward open, honest, shame-free conversations to empower our children

About this event

A workshop led by two sex-positive Mamas, Ainsley and Choiwee, who work in the realm of sex/intimacy education mixed with holistic healing. We are both extremely passionate about changing the narratives around taboo topics and empowering our children in all ways possible.

When it comes to shame-free, medically accurate, inclusive, diverse, POSITIVE sex education, unfortunately, our resources are limited, and generations of deeply shameful and taboo narratives have made it extremely difficult to move past these outdated beliefs, ideas, and behaviors when it comes to talking about bodies, sex, relationships, emotions, intimacy, pleasure... the list goes on.

In this workshop, we hope to provide you with support in creating an open, honest, shame-free connection with your young people, as well as some self-reflection, practical tools, conversation starters, and hopefully some laughs along the way too.

Comprehensive sexual education isn't just about reproduction and sex. The fact is that our sexuality is an aspect of being human! Throughout every phase of life, not just something that begins at puberty. There are many opportunities and ways to lay the foundations that will foster our young people's sexual health from as early as birth, and ongoing throughout their lives. From practicing and modeling consent, to naming genitals by their correct names, there are many valuable and teachable moments that will help to cultivate a healthy sexual attitude in our children, long before it's even about sex.

This space is welcome to all! Parents, caregivers, soon-to-be parents, anyone who is a role model to the children in their lives, anyone who values creating a sex-positive, shame-free culture, and who wants to raise informed and empowered children!

- Lunch and refreshments provided

**If this space is something you deeply desire to be a part of but need support in finances - please contact me directly to work something out, payment plans, etc. We are aware of how needed this education and support is and want to make this available to everyone who wants it**
