About this Event
Show Me Shorts presents an evening of Scottish short films in collaboration with Glasgow Film Festival, and the Short Circuit initiative. Join us to celebrate the cinema of Scotland with this vibrant collection featuring hot chips, heavy metal, a Highland battle and a drunken night out.
A short moderated Q&A with two of the filmmakers will follow the screening.
There are five short films by top Scottish filmmakers:
- Boys Night directed by James Price
- Salt & Sauce directed by Alia Ghafar
- UFO directed by Harvey Gardner
- Satanic Panic '87 directed by Bryan M Ferguson
- Slingshot directed by Robin Haig
This is an informal and fun event, and all are welcome. The screening takes place in the function room at Southern Cross Garden Bar. Run time is approx 62-minutes, plus 20-minutes for the Q&A. No allocated seating, so first in best dressed. The bar will be open with food and drink available for purchase.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, just your name and email confirmation is fine.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Pay and display car parking is available on Abel Smith Street and Cuba Street. Two hour maximum. There is a car parking building located nearby on Marion Street.
The Cross is both wheelchair and pushchair accessible, with disabled bathrooms and baby change tables in both the Men's and Women's bathrooms.
Will there be door sales?
Previous events have sold out online before the night so it is recommended to pre-book. If online sales do not sell out there may be limited door sales. Door sales are cash only.
