About this event

  • Event lasts 45 minutes

Join Melissa and Claudia for a fun and inspiring song-writing workshop based on Haast’s Eagle, one of Aotearoa New Zealand’s most impressive lost birds. Inspired by the book Sing for the Earth, this workshop will let kids’ words grow wings. Scientist Melissa (PhD) and songwriter Claudia (Tūī award winner) will guide the creation of a group song exploring rhythm and rhymes about one of the wild wonders of our planet. Dive into the world of music, nature and storytelling. No experience needed, just bring your imaginations!

Age range: 6-10 years

All workshop participants will receive a $10 voucher to be spent at the Tamariki Book Festival on 13 July!
