Event description

Description

Dive into the world of robotics and learn to code, solve challenges, and create your own project.

Advanced learners will learn about the mBot Ranger while beginners will learn with mBot.

This is a project-based workshop that will help young people develop an understanding of robotics and computational thinking skills.

We use Scratch-based mBlock software for both robots. We’ll learn to use sensors, to play with mechatronics to make the robot move and to tackle challenges using the Robocup themes: Rescue and Theatre. Please note that knowledge of Scratch is recommended.

This workshop is part of the Smartbots robotic project running throughout Tasman, Nelson and Marlborough supported by Curious Minds He Hihiri I Te Mahara, and is in kind partnership with Richmond Library.

This workshop integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics. This workshop is for keen kids aged 10-14 years.

Be aware that there is an additional fee for Eventbrite booking system.

So, if it is easier, you can book tickets and join the club directly with Nathalie by sending an email and she will be in touch.
