Event description

Description

The SNUG Committee and Chair Jeff Greenough are pleased to announce the November 2018 Workshop!

The SNUG Committee has elected to hold the event in the Hamilton, over two days on the 1st and 2nd November 2018. There will also be a free local technical tour on the afternoon of 31st October.

SNUG is a subgroup of the Engineering NZ Transportation Group with the objective of bringing about the advancement of the fundamental knowledge of the art, science and practice of design, operation and maintenance of traffic signals. The field of Traffic Signals and Traffic System Control is moving forward rapidly and the SNUG Workshop is an opportunity for traffic signal engineers, local authorities, traffic systems specialists, contractors, consultants and other practitioners to discuss current developments in Traffic Signals and Traffic System Control.
For more details on SNUG, go to www.snug.org.nz

Look out for further updates on the workshop details & call for papers between now and November.
If you are not in the SNUG email list, go to the SNUG website and subscribe to the email list.

This year's event will be held at Novotel Hamilton. Catering is provided for all attendees and a dinner will be held on the night of the 1st, attendance of the dinner is optional (price included in the Full Delegate package). If you wish to attend the dinner, please make sure you 'tick the box' during the ticketing process.
You can also bring a 'plus-1' to the SNUG dinner for an extra fee. Be sure to add this detail when you book your ticket.

Student Passes

Another first this year is the introduction of student passes at a subsidised rate. To see if you qualify for a student rate email me a few details about the course you are on and why you feel you would benefit from attending and I will send out an application form (sean.lewis@greensignal.co.nz). Full conditions for the student pass are at the bottom of this page.

To qualify for the student pass you should ideally be a student studying a full time accredited course within NZ or undertaking post graduate studies potentially relevant to the traffic signals industry. The SNUG committee will review the student applications and reserve the right to request addition information to support the application or discard applications that they feel do not fit the criteria.
