We are holding a Free Student Songwriting and Production Workshop To highlight our new Bachelor of Music Specialisation at the University of Auckland 2026

For students in years 12 and 13

A day of songwriting, song performance and production workshops exploring different elements of songcraft and collaborative techniques.

All participants need to be songwriters or producers (this means they have created at least 2-3 songs or more) and they are passionate about music elements such as singing, writing, playing instruments, making beats in a DAW or MPC or all of these!

Free Student Songwriting Workshop

10am - 3.30pm (Arrive 9.30am)

The workshops will support students around NCEA Level 2-3 unit standards.

Cost: Admission is free but registration is required via event brite—email Godfrey for more information.

Where: The University of Auckland’s historic music studios at the Kenneth Myers Centre, 74 Shortland Street, (City Campus).

Numbers: Numbers are strictly limited.

Schedule: Arrive 9.30am—start 10am—finish 3.00pm

Snacks and light refreshments will be provided
