Event description

Description

Originally developed by Dr M. B. DeJarnette in 1925, Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is an holistic approach to chiropractic healthcare which includes detailed analysis and corrections for the spine, pelvis, cranium, extremities and visceral system. Chiropractors are able to systematically approach treatment and care for a long-term well-being perspective.

There is much to SOT and the Basics are the starting place - over 3 weekends. Categories is the building block for all SOT learing and as such is the prequal for CMRT and Cranial participation and they become the door to a phenomenol world of DeJarnette wisdom.

  • If you have completed a series in another country please send your certificate of attendance as evidence to qualify as a refresher.

All manuals and powerpoints are supplied by SOTO International and presented by an awesome team of International Craniopaths who are supported by a bunch of voluntary Certified SOT chiropractors.

These are VERY hands on weekends - you will get lots of technique practice opportunities.

Introduction to SOT and Categories: Feb 23/24

Categories is the standard starting place – learning what the categories are, how to asses and correct them. Category 1 – the spinal dural subluxation pattern, Category II – the sacroiliac sprain pattern and Category III – the lumbar rotation/disc pattern. How to use the Blocks! and when not to..

Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique: March 16/17

CMRT covers the way SOT approaches work with viscero-somatic and somato-visceral reflexes. This technique has been shown to have exceptional results in improving health outcomes. An introduction to the principles of CMRT, including occipital fibre analysis and key indicators for organ work. It covers many of the more common organ techniques.

Cranial: June 22/23

This will form the basis of an understanding of cranial adjusting for the SOT practitioner. It will include; Landmarks, Cranial Nerves, Facial diagnosis with anatomy and cranial range of motion. Time and effort is spent looking at the influence of CSF flow and its nuances on CNS function.

This module covers the specialised techniques in SOT, which are extremely useful on a day to day basis. Includes techniques that can be applied to babies and children.

  • You can sign up for a full series, a refresher or a single weekend. Payment by installment is an option.

We look forward to teaching you.

See you soon.
