About the film:
10-year-old Pari has promised her 8-year-old blind brother Chotu that she will help him get his eyesight back by the time he turns 9. One day, Pari spots her favourite Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan on a poster for an eye-donation drive. So she decides to find her hero so that he will help make her wish come true. Pari and Chotu then go on a magical journey through Rajasthan where they meet a lot of fun and colourful characters.
Winner of the Crystal Bear Grand Prix for best children’s film at the 2015 Berlin Film Festival
The screening will be held at the Academy Cinema next to the Auckland central libary on the 29th of November. The film will start at 4:00 pm. Runtime is 1 hour, 46 minutes. PG: Violence and coarse language.
