About this event

The Ministry of Education and CORE Education invite you to a Zoom webinar: Spiral of Inquiry, presented by Rebbecca Sweeney, CORE Education.

This webinar will explore the Spiral of Inquiry framework to support teachers make innovative change in their PLD journey and school.

Spiral of Inquiry - a teacher inquiry framework for supporting innovative change that

  • values indigenous ways of knowing and doing
  • supports teachers to identify where to start within areas of pedagogy (e.g. A4L)
  • supports teachers to increase their pedagogical repertoire
  • feels relevant and useful
  • promotes true collaboration
  • aligns with and informs your future focused vision and curriculum
  • supports local curriculum design

Recipients of support for improving teacher reflective practice using the Spiral of Inquiry have realised the benefits of this in relation to all PLD priorities. It has enabled them to:

  • identify their related learning needs and those of their students.
  • gain a starting point for their professional learning.
  • evaluate the impact of any PLD they engage in.
  • review how they engage in leaders and teacher inquiry so that it is relevant and useful, rather than a compliance task.

These sessions will be relevant to teachers, leaders, principals, tumuaki, kaiako, PLD Leads, PLD facilitators, PLD provider organisations, and regional office Ministry staff.

Please register for this event by clicking the "Register" button above. There are 100 spaces available for this session.

A Zoom invite will be sent to all attendees the day before the webinar, so if you have registered, we encourage you to block out the time in your calendar until the Zoom is sent to you.
