Description

The Centre For Innovation and Entrepreneurship hosts Start-up School - a practical workshop series to help you turn your idea into reality.

Share vesting is a common way that start-ups reward their employees or founders for their work, by gaining company shares over time.

Determining the timing, amount, and best way of utilising share vesting within your start-up can bring a number of questions.

In this workshop, we seek to answer those questions for you, and will cover:

  • What share vesting is and how it works
  • How do founders receive their shares?
  • What happens if a co-founder leaves the start-up?
  • What happens when new co-founders or investors come on board?
  • What are 'normal' terms for co-founders to agree around share vesting?
  • How vesting can be used to incentivise teams

OPEN TO STAFF AND STUDENTS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF AUCKLAND
