Event description

Description

Ministry of Awesome's STARTUP BREAKFAST CLUB powered by MYOB is made for all you budding entrepreneurs and start-ups in Christchurch. This is your monthly morning caffeine hit where you will find valuable social networks, gain business insight, and find the critical support you need to power your business forward.

At our next Breakfast Club, we’ll be exploring the essentials for success – delving into what it takes to get your idea off the ground and into the hands of your customers. Building a successful business takes a lot of hard-work, self-belief, passion and a willingness to make things happen. But there are some other key essentials you’ll want to master if you really want to stand out from the crowd.

We’ll be joined by Kendall Flutey, co-founder of Banquer, Neil Hamilton, Christchurch NZs Technology client manager and Krissy Sadler-Bridge who’ll be sharing their insights and savvy business know-how into all things marketing, sales and finances – with tips on how to keep your head above the water when it matters most.

Thanks to our friends at MYOB there will be free-flowing coffee and breakfast treats to keep your brain and tummy wide awake. And - it's an absolutely FREE event.

You won't want to miss this great opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs and to learn from industry veterans who have been through the start-up process and can help you along your journey.

Register by November 24th to secure your spot.

ABOUT OUR GUEST PANELISTS

Kendall Flutey

Kendall Flutey is the co-founder and CEO Banqer, the financial education platform used by more than 50,000 Australasian primary students. With a background in both accounting and software development, Kendall enjoys the new challenge that comes with growing a mission-driven international start-up.

Banqer is an online financial education platform that lets primary aged children experience personal finances first-hand in their classroom. Over 40,000 kids are currently earning classroom income, paying taxes, exploring the property market, enrolling in Superannuation and much more as they practice how to manage their money in a safe environment.

Since launching at the start of 2015 Banqer has seen financial literacy rate increases from the students using the platform which includes kids as young as six years old. Banqer also shapes the financial capabilities of the students using it as the daily financial behaviour of students is monitored over time and this feedback is provided to teachers. All with the aim of ensuring the next generation are prepared to tackle the financial world that lays ahead of them.

Neil Hamilton

Neil is the Client Manager at Christchurch NZ as well as Founder/Director of Sky’s the Limit Consulting. Neil has
worked in software development, business consulting and IT across the globe, and enjoys growing innovative, high-performing teams.
