Description

Ministry of Awesome's STARTUP BREAKFAST CLUB powered by MYOB is made for all you budding entrepreneurs and start-ups in Christchurch. This is your monthly morning caffeine hit where you will find valuable social networks, gain business insight, and find the critical support you need to power your business forward.

At our next Breakfast Club, we’ll be exploring the process of validation – delving into the steps you can take to learn more about your customers and what they want.

We’ll be joined by Emily Hazelwood, Founder of the Romer App, Tony Perkins, Front of house manager at Coffee Supreme and industry guru, who’ll be sharing their validation stories and insights.

Thanks to our friends at MYOB there will be free-flowing coffee and breakfast treats to keep your brain and tummy wide awake. And - it's an absolutely FREE event.

You won't want to miss this great opportunity to network with like-minded entrepreneurs and to learn from industry veterans who have been through the start-up process and can help you along your journey.

Register by January 29th to secure your spot.

ABOUT OUR GUEST PANELISTS

Emily Hazelwood

Emily's passion for innovation and problem solving led her to help thousands of Kiwis get more out of their lifestyles while positively impacting social, mental and emotional long-term behaviours through her app Romer. After finding social media anything but social her goal was to get people to spend more time face to face challenging them to a new adventure every day they use Romer whether it is trying a new food, local walk or activity they have never done before with friends. With over 5,000 downloads in a month of launching, 250,000+ in-app swipes plus 100,000 saved adventures by users she has already helped thousands of kiwis in the quest for a more adventurous life.

Tony Perkins

Tony Perkins (TP) is the Front of House Manager at Coffee Supreme. With 35 years' experience in service and hospitality, TP knows his industry as well as what customers want. He has provided professional guidance to cafés, as well as mentored students entering the food and hospitality field (at the Christchurch Polytechnic and, before the quakes, through Celia Hay's school). TP believes that what is missed most often is consumer engagement." Good service for me is being friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. All three of those things must happen if standards of service are to improve."

Graham Dockrill

Graham Dockrill is the current Entrepreneur In Residence at the University of Canterbury. With over 20 years experience in the Information Technology sector, he has founded several hi-tech start ups such as Lemon Tree Consulting and Hairy Lemon Web Solution Ltd. Graham is a highly motivated entrepreneur with a proven track record in time critical innovation and implementation.
