Hosted by the Colleges of Engineering; Science; and Education, Health and Human Development, attendees will have the opportunity to gain valuable insights into how to engage students in the STEM subjects.

The day will start with a keynote session by Alexia Hilbertidou, GirlBoss New Zealand Founder, whose mission is to close the gender gap in Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths, Entrepreneurship and Leadership. Alexia’s session will be followed by a group of UC academics who will share their STEM teaching strategies and participate in a panel discussion.

A range of interactive workshops will make up the remainder of the day, covering a range of topics including biological science, data science, product design, medicinal chemistry, electrical engineering, and erosion from climate change.
