About the workshop:
This sculpture course will guide students in the creation of a medium-sized armature sculpture and will include instructions on how to visualise an idea in 3D form. Oleg will guide the students through a subtractive sculpture process: using a concept image, sketching a sculpture project, building a light weight armature, applying plaster onto it, manipulating it, and reducing it in order to achieve the final sculpture. The course will teach how to visualise an idea in a 3D form and how to create a structure plan. Alongside this process, students will also learn about the process of silicone mould making and plaster casting. The silicone mould tutorial will allow students to create a multi-layered mould of an object of their choice.
