Explore the Te Matuku marine reserve with Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust and SUP Waiheke.

Celebrate the Te Matuku cathcment with the Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust team and SUP Waiheke. Be guided through the maze of mangroves and discover what makes this protected estuary so special.

With funding from Auckland Council, The Bobby Stafford-Bush Foundation and Waiheke Local Board we are running our annual guided paddle of the Te Matuku marine reserve. 10 free paddle board hires in each timeslot and 4 BYO (kayak or SUP). Fun for the whole whānau.

Registrations essential. Minimum age is 10. (7-9 year olds may be considered if they are accompanied with a confident adult who has paddle boarded before so that they can share a board)

Registrations will be open to locals first, please contact sophie@mountainstosea.org.nz with your suburb for the access code to register.

Where: Te Matuku Reserve Stockyards, Orapiu Rd, Waiheke. NB: There is no public transport to this site - you will need to drive or carpool.

Mountains to Sea Conservation Trust runs a series of free and subsidised events over the summer months - we rely on your support to make them happen. We appreciate donations , either cash/eftpos on the day, online or by giving a koha of your time volunteering at a future event. This event is smokefree and striving to be zero waste. If you are no longer able to make the event you need to give at least 24 hours notice - otherwise an invoice of $20pp may be issued.
