Event description

Description

Kia ora Koutou,

Te Puna Kai o Waikato is hosting a networking event for local food projects in the Waikato.

Saturday the 14th of September 10am-3pm at the The Link Community Centre.

Everything from community gardens, share tables, food rescue and redistribution, gardens in school, māra kai, projects that protect tuna and other traditional food sources, and any other initiatives that share the vision of nourished communities connected to each other and Papatūānuku.

We want to bring all the energy and knowledge into one space. We are inviting project groups to develop 10 minute presentations on their initiative - what’s working, challenges and lessons learned along the way to help support each others growth. Each presentation will be followed by a 5 minute Q and A. There will also be plenty of time for networking during lunch.

Te Puna Kai o Waikato will be presenting updates on their mapping of local food projects, database, project development tools and promotional opportunities.

This is a catered event. Please contact Anna at anna@goeco.org.nz by Friday August 30th with your names, project and any dietary requirements.

Ngā mihi,

Shepherd, Chelsey, Ioana, Sarita, Michael, Sarah, Nita and Anna
