About this Event

Senior Biology Teachers Professional Development – ‘Where have all the Takahē gone?’ – a context for understanding the impact of introduced mammals on the communities of which takahē are a part. (Achievement Standard 91158)

Are you new to teaching this standard? Do you want to interact with other teachers around the content and concepts dealt with in the ‘Where have all the takahē gone?’ community study? Are you keen for the latest updates from the Takahē Recovery Programme team?

ZEALANDIA Education and Youth staff are running a teacher PLD workshop on January 31st 2020 with a specific focus on the takahē community study.

We will:

• cover key ideas and concepts needed for students to deepen their understanding

• provide data updates fresh from the Takahē Recovery Programme team and discuss their relevance to the study
