About this event

  • 2 hours

This series of four workshops will keep leaders of math (years 1-10) up to date with changes which include:

  • up to date with the changes in mathematics, currently Te Mātaiaho
  • on top of what's new on the nzmaths website
  • informed of what research is suggesting
  • and a place to refresh your own content knowledge.

We will discuss how you can support and lead your teams to improve the outcomes of your learners in mathematics.

Teachers will be able to understand how to strengthen teaching practice to reduce disparity and raise achievement by:

  • building capability in leading mathematics and statistics within and across their school
  • investigating effective pedagogy and strategies for teaching and assessing mathematics and statistics
  • making sense of curriculum refresh, related research, key concepts, and mathematic proficiencies
  • investigating mathematical tasks.

The course fee is $500 + GST per person. 10% discount applies for three or more registrations from the same school, kura or Kāhui Ako.
