Description

Note: Please CHOOSE YOUR DATE on the right before your register.

You and a guest are invited to join us on Wednesday 7th OR Thursday 8th March, as we celebrate The Literature Centre's 25th Year with two stunning performances of Teacup - the story, illustrations and music presented by Matt Ottley, Music Book and Yamaha Australia.

We're proud of our not-for-profit Centre and the cultural hub we have created, which is unique in Australia. Prior to 2012, we were called the Fremantle Children's Literature Centre, as many of our invited guests will recall.

TEACUP

"Once there was a boy who had to leave home...and find another. In his bag he carried a book, a bottle and a blanket. In his teacup he held some earth from where he used to play."

We're proud to present a musical performance adapted from the picture book Teacup, written by Rebecca Young and illustrated/composed by Matt Ottley. Accompanied by Music Book's musicians, including narrator/alto Danielle Joynt and soprano/composer Emma Jayakamur, the presentation of Teacup will be a truly multi-modal performance, where Matt's film and music will bring the words and imagery to life.

LOTTERYWEST SUPPORTED

With the generous support of Lotterywest, we are able to celebrate The Literature Centre's 25th Year of promoting quality Australian children's and young adult literature in Western Australia.

Lotterywest is unique. It is the only lottery in Australia where money raised from the sale of Lotterywest games is distributed directly to the WA community through grants.
