TeLENZ Online Panel Discussion on E-Voting: Security, Policy & Law
Event Information
About this event
A panel discussion on e-voting is offered as part of TeLENZ’s webinar series that examines issues relevant to legal education, practice, policy and research.
The idea of improving voting experience and modernising voting processes through technology has been the Holy Grail for a number of government electoral bodies around the world in recent times. Various styles of ‘electronic voting’ have already been trialled and, in some cases, embraced around the world. So, is e-voting the saviour of democracy or the harbinger of democratic doom? This online panel discussion will explore – generally and also in the New Zealand context – the security, policy and legal aspects of e-voting.
